TODAY IS THE 30TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME  Today is World Mission Sunday, the annual worldwide celebration for the missions of the Church. It strengthens our understanding of our shared call to mission, to speak about our faith and respond to the call through prayer, participation in the Eucharist and giving generously to the collection for the Church’s missionary work.

First Holy Communion: We welcome and pray for 29 children who will make their First Holy Communion at the 10am Mass and we thank all who have helped them on their journey to this special day.

Feast Day of St Jude: This week, we celebrate the feast day of St Jude, the patron saint of desperate cases and lost causes – people turn to St Jude when all hope seems gone.

Please pray to St Jude on his feast day (Friday) which he shares with St Simon with whom he was martyred in Beirut. The National Shrine of St Jude at Faversham in Kent, run by Carmelite Friars, urges us to pray to St Jude during this time of uncertainty over Covid.

PARISH OFFICE OPENING HOURS The parish office is closed on Mondays. Opening hours remain the same from Tuesdays to Fridays, 9am-4pm. In half term week, the office will open 11am-4pm.

OFFICE STAFF COMMUNICATION  The office staff are experiencing a high level of parish requests outside of office hours and through their social media. For all parish queries, please contact the office staff during parish opening hours either on 0117 9557662 or bristol.stpatrick@cliftondiocese.com

Our parish priest Canon Gregory Grant, shares one of his dreams. This inspiring short seven minute film features some of our young parishioners – Jismon Jose, Jeffin Jose, Dona Jiji, Jeril Laiju, Rebecca Bradley and Alan Jiji. You can watch the video by going to:- www.cliftondiocese.com/dare-to-dream/
